The Prosecutor is calling for another two year prison sentence for the ex Mayor of Marbella, Julián Muñoz, on another charge of a town planning crime. In this case a total of eight people are charged, seven of them ex GIL councillors and five of them already implicated in the Operación Malaya.
The EFE news agency reports that the case relates to a project for an industrial estate in Marbella which was given a building licence in June 2001 despite the fact that the urban plan had reserved the area for cultural and social use.
Joining Julian Muñoz on the accused bench are ex councillors Rafael González, Jose Luis Fernández Garrosa, Francisco Javier Lendínez, Pedro Tomás Reñones, Jose Luis Troyano, María Luisa Alcalá and Alberto García.
