Feria de San Bernabe Marbella 2006

The Marbella Feria ran this year from 5th of June until 11th of June 2006.

The Marbella Council produced the Official Marbella Feria Guide 2006 on the 23rd of May.

Marbella Feria Schedule for 2006

Sunday 4th of June - "ROMERIA DE SAN BERNABÉ"

8.30am	Fireworks announcing the departure from the Brotherhood House (Rincón of San Bernabé). The Town Hall Fiestas Delegation will offer complimentary churros and chocolate for everyone.
9.00am	Parade to the Saint Bernabé Hermitage located in Nagüeles Park . Itinerary: Brotherhood House, Virgen Blanca Square, Trapiche and Mayorazgo Avenues, c/José Luis Morales, c/ Pinsapo, c/Calvario, Cánovas del Castillo Avenue, Camino del Pinar, c/Buchinger, to finish up at the Nagüeles Pinepark.
12.00pm	Brotherhood Mass at the Saint Bernabé Hermitage.
12.30pm	Various activities in Nagüeles Pinepark begin. • Dance Contest By the Dancing Schools. • Dance Ball with a Big Orchertra. • Complinetary Popular Paella.

Monday 5th of June

11.00pm	Francisco Moyano Puertas, historian and expert in the culture and tradition of our town, will read the “Opening Speech of the Feria and Fiestas of Saint Bernabé”.
11.30 pm	Fireworks at the El Fuerte Beach announcing the beginning of the Saint Bernabé Fair.
12.30 am	Switch on the lights at the Fairground Site. • Saint Bernabé 2006 Infantile and Junior Queen Coronation Ceremony . • Popular Queen election by the women in the Town Hall Caseta.
2.00 am	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.

Tuesday 6th of June

9.00 am	Rockets around the streets of Marbella.
12.00 pm	Day Feria Opening.
12.00 pm to 7.00 pm	Day Feria with various activities in the streets and squares of the Old Town .
3.00 pm to 7.0 0pm	Dancing Schools performances at the La Alameda Park and Del Mar Avenue.
6.00 pm to 9.00 pm	Dancing Schools Contest at the Town Hall Caseta.
10.00 pm	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta begins, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.

Wednesday 7th of June

9.00 am	Rockets around the streets of Marbella .
12.00 pm to 7.00 pm	Day Feria with various activities in the streets and squares of the Old Town .
3.00pm to 7.00 pm	Dancing Schools performances at the La Alameda Park and Del Mar Avenue.
5.00 pm	BIG CHILDREN PARTY at the Town Hall Caseta with the following activities: • The “TWEENIES” New Show, the most famous educational characters from TV. The little ones will enjoy of their new songs, and new games and stories. • Entertainment group, Make up and balloons workshop. • Complimentary cake and drinks for all the children.
8.00 pm to 12.00 am	CHILDREN´S DAY, 50% discount on all the prices at the Fun Fair.
8.00 pm	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta begins, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.
12.30 am	Pop Night. Performance of the group “EFECTO MARIPOSA” (free entrance).
2.00 am	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta continues, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.

Thursday 8th of June

9.00 am	Rockets around the streets of Marbella .
12.00 pm to 7.00 pm	Day Feria with various activities in the streets and squares of the Old Town .
2.00pm	SPECIAL LUNCH FOR THE ELDERLY at the Town Hall Caseta with the performance of “EL MANI”. Dance Ball with the “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra. Invitations will be available from the "Elders Centre".
3.00pm to 7.00pm	Dancing Schools performances at the La Alameda Park and Del Mar Avenue.
10.00pm	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.
00.30 am	Performance of the famous group from Cádiz “DECAI” (free entrance)
2.00 am	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta continues, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.

Friday 9th of June

9.00 am	Rockets around the streets of Marbella .
12.00 pm to 7.00 pm	Day Feria with various activities in the streets and squares of the Old Town .
3.00 pm to 7.00 pm	Dancing Schools performances at the La Alameda Park and Del Mar Avenue.
10.00 pm	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.
12.30 am	Big Flamenco Night. Performance of “NIÑA PASTORI”(free entrance).
2.00 am	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta continues, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.

Saturday 10th of June

9.00 am	Rockets around the streets of Marbella .
12.00 pm	Bells pealing rockets and while listening the National and Andalusian anthem, the local Authorities will place in the balcony of the Town Hall, the City banner (an historic heirloom donated in 1485 by the Reyes Catholics)
12.00 pm to 7.00 pm	Day Feria with various activities in the streets and squares of the Old Town .
3.00 pm to 7.00pm	Dancing Schools performances at the La Alameda Park and Del Mar Avenue.
10.00 pm	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.
12.30 am	Big Performance of “SIEMPRE ASÍ” (free entrance).
2.00 am	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta continues, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.

Sunday 11th of June

9.00 am	Rockets around the streets of Marbella .
10.00am	Civic-Religious Parade to the Humilladero Cross (c/Málaga).
10.30 am	Mass and Parade in honour to Saint Bernabé. Itinerary: Departure from Nuestra Señora de La Encarnación Church, de la Iglesia Square, c/ Ortiz de Molinillo, c/Virgen de los Dolores, Puente de Málaga Square, Nabeul Avenue, c/ Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente, Severo Ochoa Avenue, c/Huerta Chica, de la Victoria Square, c/Estación, los Naranjos Square, General Chinchilla Square, de la Iglesia Square, to end at his temple.
3.00 pm to 7.00 pm	Dancing Schools performances at the La Alameda Park and Del Mar Avenue.
7.00 pm	Bullfight “GOYESCA” in the Marbella bullring. Six bulls from LA PALMOSILLA for the bullfighters MANUEL DÍAZ “El Codobés”, FRANCISCO RIVERA ORDOÑEZ and DAVID FANDILA “El Fandi”.
10.00 pm	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.
12.30 am	Big Performance of “MERCHE”(free entrance).
2.00 am	Dance Ball at the Town Hall Caseta continues, with the music performance of “Musical Pasarela” Orchestra.
