Primarily working from the Gibraltar office this company requires a Finance Manager to manage and develop the existing finance (Accounts) team. This company’s core business is the marketing and operation of a specialised retail finance product, which it has successfully launched in other markets in conjunction with its global partners. Whilst the Gibraltar office supervises all the operations across the main European markets, you will be working for a global organisation (Head quartered in New York, with a large presence in London). Besides the day to day management of the Finance team you will be tasked to lead development of processes and evolution of this department. Effectively the core financial reporting functions and month end reporting for all European markets falls with the teams remit. There fore it is expected you will be a Chartered Accountant with several years post qualification experience, and if possible, some exposure to the banking / retail financial service sector. You must have a good knowledge of UK GAAP, be a quick thinker and be able to really take ownership of this department and its growth. You will report directly to the MD of Gibraltar operations and can expect exposure to the other members of the European board.
