Our client is one of the UK's leading soft gaming operator’s and is about to launch an operation in Gibraltar and they are seeking a Finance Director to join the Gibraltar operation.

The initial Gibraltar operation will be a B2B operation with the one of the UK’s leading Bingo Operators.  It is anticipated the role will expand substantially over the next 12 months and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in this development.

Reports to

§        Gibraltar Company Board;

§        Group Finance Director

Job Purpose:

§        To manage all aspects of the Gibraltar finance function for the Gibraltar Subsidiaries of the Group.

 Main Duties

•        Member of Gibraltar Board

•        Responsibility for production of monthly management accounts (circulated to Group Board) and annual statutory accounts.

•        Responsibility for timely submission of gaming, VAT, corporate and other regulatory tax returns.

•        Set up and maintenance of initial accounting systems, policies and procedures

•        Preparation of regular budgets and forecasts for submission to Group Board.

•        Primary contact for Gibraltar bankers, auditors, tax authorities and other external bodies

•        Responsibility for the provision of daily and weekly business performance reports (including variance analysis).

•        Responsibility for control of fixed costs in Gibraltar.

•        Proactive approach in the design and implementation of new accounting and business reporting to meet the developing needs of the business.

•        Assisting the marketing department in analysing key data.

•        Analysis of competitor financial performance.

•        Financial review and approval of marketing and technical contracts.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

•        Formally qualified accountant fluent in English

•        Ideally fluent in a second major European language

•        Prior experience in a ‘senior’ financial position

•        Excellent accounting and financial reporting skills

•        Very familiar with MS Office applications (Excel to a high standard)

•        Highly organized and detail oriented with through follow up skills

•        Detailed understanding of key business drivers to contribute to commercial decision making

•        Interest/experience in online business and/or gaming desirable
