Essential Developments reached agreement with the Port Lixus resort developer, Salixus, on the front-line plot location of the hotel in December 2006. Salixus is a consortium comprised of Thomas & Piron, Colbert Orco and L'Atelier and was awarded development rights by the Moroccan government for the €1 Billion project in late 2004.
The Port Lixus resort is the 2 nd of six planned new generation ‘super resorts' along the coastlines of Morocco . Encompassing over 462 hectares of dramatic Atlantic Ocean fronting terrain, this Plan Azur resort will feature two 18-hole golf courses, a 700-berth marina, extensive sporting and leisure facilities as well as several other hotels, residential properties and exclusive golf-side villas. |
