How long have you lived in Spain and what do you do here? 

[ George ] I have lived in Spain permanently since 1998 although before that I used to spend 6 weeks each summer in Córdoba. 

I am a radio presenter on Central FM and currently present the Afternoon Show (2-6pm) Mondays- Fridays.

Why did you choose the Costa del Sol? 

[ George ] I originally came to the Coast for a 3 month break with friends and ended up staying as I was offered a job at what is by far the best radio station I have ever worked for.

Tell us your greatest business/professional and personal accomplishment? 

[ George ] I would say that my greatest achievement has been becoming co-owner of Central FM 6 years ago and watching how the Station has grown every year.

Why would you recommend the Costa del Sol for business and Lifestyle? 

[ George ] The Costa del Sol has a unique culture where it’s easy to mix business and pleasure. 

Business attitudes are more relaxed and informal than in Northern European countries.

This makes a big difference and means work becomes less of chore – in fact most people I know seem to really enjoy what they do.

If you could change one thing about Spain, what would it be? 

[ George ] I would change the poor customer service offered by many businesses – it drives me mad!

[ George ] Impulsive, talkative, optimistic

What is your favourite Restaurant? 

[ George ] My favourite restaurant, and has been for many years, is Citron in La Plaza de la Merced in the centre of Málaga.

The food is simple, creatively presented and always tastes good. 

What is the last film you saw at the Cinema or DVD? 

[ George ] I recently went to see Basic Instinct 2 in the cinema. 

Its even better than the original- and Sharon Stone looks like she hasn’t aged a day since the first film.

What advice would you give to someone moving to Spain? 

[ George ] I would recommend to actively learn Spanish and become a part of local culture – that way you get the most out of living here.

[ George ] Designs of Asia, who are importers of ethnic, rustic, modern and colonial furniture, are excellent.

The furniture is just brilliant and they’re a really friendly team.  

I would recommend them whole-heartedly.
