How long have you lived in Spain and what do you do here? 
[ Jane ] I have been here since September 2005 and I am the marketing manager at the fabulous Mega Bowl in La Cañada – Marbella.

Why did you choose Marbella?
[ Jane ] Really it chose me, I saw the job advertised and applied. I have worked in bowling and leisure for 20 years. 

Tell us your greatest business AND personal accomplishment?
[ Jane ] By far my greatest business accomplishment to date so far has been turning a health & fitness club from an also ran into one of the top clubs in the company in under six months.

I have also (through my work) personally been able to raise considerable sums of money for a variety of worthwhile charities.

I am currently helping to raise much needed funds for the Rhys Daniels Foundation after meeting Barry Daniels and the patrons at the Butterfly Ball.

Why would you recommend the Costa del Sol for business and Lifestyle?
[ Jane ] For business I would say it is certainly not for the fainthearted.

Everything takes longer and this can be a great source of flustration.

The lifestyle well, we really are blessed to be able to live in such a beautiful place with the mountains and the beaches.

Even at my age I do like to party and have been doing quite a lot of that here as well.

If you could change one thing about Spain, what would it be?
[ Jane ] Predictable I know but the service (or lack of it) especially in shops, and the mosquitos as I appear to be allergic to them.

What is your favourite Restaurant in Marbella?
[ Jane ] The newly opened Lone Star Brasserie in Peurto Banus.

What is the last film you saw at the Cinema or DVD?
[ Jane ] Far too busy to go to the cinema, I much prefer a game of Bowling (at Megabowl of course) but saw Pulp fiction on TV this week for the umpteenth time.

What advice would you give to someone moving to Spain?
[ Jane ] Learn Spanish, buy a new wardrobe and lots of insect repellant
