Maybe you are in the mood for some unusual pastimes! How about riding in Selwo’s Teleferico, a 15 minute cable car journey up the Calamorro Mountains? The views are great and on a clear day you can see the Riff Mountains in Morocco. At the top there are donkey rides and nature exhibits. Tivoli World, a show and amusement park, is open from 6 pm - 2 am. The attractions include ferris wheels, bumper cars, and specially designed areas for younger children. The perk is that the kids can run free while their parents calmly dine. Entrance is 6 € and a rides pass is 10 euros.

Ever driven past Benalmádena and wondered what on Earth is that huge pyramid with gold dome along the seaside? It is a stupa, a Himalayan Buddhist shrine. The Enlightenment Stupa, visibly monumental, is indeed the largest stupa in the West. Free to the public, all are welcome to visit their exhibits about Tibetan Buddhism and Himalayan culture. Maybe what you are looking for is some air conditioned r and r! Ten pins bowling is available at these major shopping centres: la Cañada in Marbella, la Plaza Mayor in Málaga and la Trocha in Coín. Each centre has multi-cinemas and Wednesdays the rates are reduced.
Does Málaga baffle you? Go to the main bus station or the Corte Ingles and jump on the 90 minute double decker open top bus tour of Málaga. This 12 stop hop on/ hop off bus runs ever half hour from 9:30 am to 10 pm.
If you want to take a nice day trip, the Nerja Cave is refreshingly cool in summer. This prehistoric stalactite and stalagmite cave has stupendous galleries with 60m (200 ft.) cathedral ceilings. For the super adventurous there are bi-monthly 7 hour speleological expeditions into the interior caverns with ropes, flashlights and helmets! Who would have guessed that there is a Paleochristian basilica dating back to the IV century and Roman baths in Marbella! Call 952 781 360 and ask for a free guided tour of the Basilica Vega del Mar (24 hours notice required.) You will have to pick up your guide at the San Pedro arch.
