How long have you lived in Spain and how long is your business established?
[ Gayle ] I have been here for 10 years mostly up in Granada but I´ve worked the real estate market here on the coast for almost 3 years.
I set up my business Granada Tapas Tours at the beginning of this year.
Why did you choose Spain?
[ Gayle ] Didn´t really, just got on a plane and landed here, liked it and so stayed.
Saying that I was studying the language at Uni so I had to do a year abroad and they sent me to Granada.
Tell us your greatest business or personal accomplishment?
[ Gayle ] Business-wise it would have to be setting up Granada Tapas Tours.
It´s been something I´ve had in mind for years.
I was always doing favours for friends of mine who knew people who were going to be visiting Granada and they asked me to take them out for some tapas.
I´ve done a "tour" with 7 doctors from Boston, an Australian couple doing a world tour and also my best friend´s parents from Scotland!
So I realised there was a gap in the market to set up as a business and I went for it!
Why would you recommend the Costa del Sol for business and Lifestyle?
[ Gayle ] The business opportunities are great here, better than any other part of Andalucía.
As for lifestyle, there is something here for everyone.
If you could change one thing about Spain, what would it be?
[ Gayle ] The bureaucracy!!!

What is your favourite Restaurant in Spain?
[ Gayle ] Alfredo´s Spanish restaurant in the centre of San Pedro.
What is the last film you saw at the Cinema or DVD?
[ Gayle ] "Crash" - Oscar winner last year
What advice would you give to someone moving to Spain?
[ Gayle ] Try to ingegrate as much as possible with the local community and really push yourself to learn some Spanish.
Name one other business you would recommend on the Costa Del Sol and why?
[ Gayle ] Belleza Aqua Salud in San Pedro is the best place to have massages on the Costa.
There is a gentleman there who has about 35 years experience and he´s the best.

We will take you to places that perhaps you would not venture into where you can enjoy the BEST QUALITY and BEST VALUE tapas on offer in the city. If a place is packed with locals it´s usually for a good reason!
Granada´s tapa secret is that the food comes AT NO EXTRA CHARGE, not like most other places in Spain where you have to buy the tapa!
