How long have you lived in Spain and how long is your business established?
[ David ] I have been coming on holiday here since 1983 and it seemed very natural to make the move in the late nineties as I have known and loved the area for so long.  

I joined a real estate company in Elviria and in 2003 was promoted to area manager.  

I decided to start my own business in early 2005 from a small office in Elviria Business Centre and have since extended to our flagship office, the largest in Elviria, in the main commercial center next to Opencor in Elviria.

Why did you choose Marbella?
[ David ] Marbella has always, in my mind, been a great place to live due to the cosmopolitan lifestyle and of course the weather!!

Tell us your greatest business or personal accomplishment?
[ David ] In the UK I built a large property development company together with my business partner which to this day is still running well.  

Here in Spain I launched “Connected Property Solutions” under two years ago. 

I am one of those sad people that loves his work. 

Finding the perfect property at the right price still gives me a buzz.

Why would you recommend the Costa del Sol for business and Lifestyle?
[ David ] The Costa allows hard working people to achieve their goals whilst still enjoying the great lifestyle

If you could change one thing about Spain, what would it be? 
[ David ] Ban the need for ‘Residencia’, something that is now in hand via The EU.

[ David ] Lover of life

What is your favourite Restaurant in Marbella?
[ David ] Nikki Beach in the summer for its fabulous atmosphere and La Chien at the top of Elviria in the winter for its cosy intimacy.

What is the last film you saw at the Cinema or DVD?
[ David ] Da Vinci code

What advice would you give to someone moving to Spain?
[ David ] Never forget why you wanted to move here!
