FOUR Romanian men aged between 20 and 24 have been arrested by Local Police in Benalmadena for attacking a 54-year-old tourist near the Bonanza Square church in the town, an area which is popular with foreigners as there are many bars and restaurants.

A witness called the police to alert them of the attack. When the officers arrived, the victim was unconscious and had lost several teeth.

He was taken to Malaga University Hospital in a critical condition.

Thanks to an eyewitness who described the attackers, the police were able to locate and arrest them, all of whom were later identified by the victim.
