Drugged driver hits pedestrain on Zebra crossing

A 36 year old man who hit a 20 year old pedestrian from Ecuador on a zebra crossing in Malaga at 8am on Monday morning has been arrested after being found to have tested positive for four different drugs.
The victim has suffered serious head injuries as well as a broken arm and leg and is now in the Carlos Haya hospital.
Police noted that the driver of the van was having trouble standing and carried out an immediate blood test, which detected four different drugs including cocaine and cannabis.
The driver will appear in court shortly after police have assembled witness statements. |
