THE council of Rincon de la Victoria recently opened an underground parking facility for 244 vehicles in Huerta Julian.
Opening hours will normally be from 8am to 10pm but the facility will remain open 24-hours a day during the summer period.
The parking area has been built underneath a public square covering some 6,500 square-metres, which has been named after Jose Novo, a songwriter who composed Rincon de la Victoria’s official anthem.
The mayor, Jose Miguel Fernandez, said at the inauguration ceremony that the new infrastructure, built at a total cost of five million euros, is the answer to an increasing demand for more parking and leisure facilities in the locality”. |
