MIJAS is holding the 20th anniversary of the International Days on Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8, with the presence of 26 different nationalities offering the best from their countries at 30 stands in the Plaza Virgen de la Peña.
This festival, which promotes cultural integration and tolerance, will offer traditional food, drink, music, dancing and lots of fun. There will be interactive workshops for children, parades, Senegalese percussion, Chinese calligraphy, Dutch clog painting, Moroccan henna art, Mexican piñata, Argentinian tangos, salsa classes and much more.
This is the first time the festival will be held over two days, and 35 clubs and foreigners’ associations from the Costa del Sol will be taking part.
Visitors will be able to try food from all over the world at the special price of just one euro.
This event has been named a Day of Tourist Singularity by Malaga Provincial Government, and is organised by the foreigners’ department of Mijas Town Hall for the enjoyment of people of all ages wherever in the world they come from. |
