The Malaga Provincial Court has decided to revoke the bail conditions of one million euros that Judge Óscar Pérez granted to Juan Antonio Roca, the alleged ringleader of the corruption in Marbella Town Hall.
Pérez, in charge of the Malaya case, has agreed that Roca should be held unconditionally on remand and has extended the period for another two years.
The court has accepted the appeal filed by the public prosecution department, the Junta de Andalucía and Marbella Town Hall, against the decision made by the judge last April 27th which allowed Roca to leave prison on the payment of bail.
Roca was released on April 14th, after paying one million euros, although it was only eight days later that he was imprisoned again in Madrid after a hearing in the Saqueo case.
This time bail of three million euros was set but this has not been paid and Roca remains behind bars.
